SOCOOL Mountain Bikes

SOCOOL mountain bikes will keep you comfortable when cycling, whether you’re a first-time rider or an avid mountain biker. Choose from a full suspension, women’s-specific, or hardtail.

Hardtail

SoCool hardtail mountain bikes are a durable and cost-effective option for those looking for an off-road bicycle. They’re versatile and can handle various terrains, from gravel trails to pump tracks. These bikes are also suitable for casual riding on city streets or woodland paths.

These bikes feature interchangeable dropouts and offer flexibility where you need it most. Depending on your riding style, you can choose a single-speed or a mixed-wheel setup. They also have bottle cage mounts in the front triangle, and internal cable routing is clean and tidy.

Several features make the SoCool a great choice for beginners, including a large capacity chainring and a wide handlebar. A carbon frame with a ninja-like appearance will keep you comfortable while cruising through the trails. The frame is lightweight and features a curved top tube and seat tube.

SoCool’s MHT 8.9 is a great example of a modern hardtail. It boasts a lightweight aluminum frame, a 120mm travel fork, and wide-range 12-speed gearing. It’s a great all-rounder at a similar price to its full-suspension cousin. Although it lacks a plush rear end, it can be a great choice if you’re a beginner or just looking for a cheaper option.

Beginners, intermediates, and advanced riders can use hardtail mountain bikes. They’re sturdy and trustworthy but require more attention from their riders.

Full suspension

Full-suspension bikes are a great option for mountain biking because they offer comfort and safety that regular bikes cannot provide. These bikes can be divided into four subcategories, each with unique features and capabilities to suit different riding styles. They are also available in electric versions. The best part of this type of bike is that it is lightweight, making it easy to transport and store.

Full-suspension bikes give riders more freedom of movement and are better at absorbing bumps. This makes them more comfortable to ride and gives new riders more confidence. Full-suspension bikes are also more stable and allow for better balance when climbing. However, they cost more than hardtails and require more maintenance.

SOCOOL Mountain Bikes are made with a frame sourced from Asia and are sold through a Utah retailer. They feature a full suspension system for XC racing and all-around trail riding. They have full suspension, so you can take on challenging trails without worrying about being overly saggy.

Full suspension bikes feature a pivoting frame and rear shock. They can have short or long travel depending on the rider’s preference. Full-suspension bikes have more maintenance but are more fun to ride downhill.

Women’s-specific

Women’s-specific SOCOOL mountain bikes offer different features and benefits, and they’re great for all levels of rider. These bikes feature 100mm of travel in the year and front, which makes them an excellent option for cross-country mountain bikers and those who don’t want to get too rowdy when riding downhill. These bikes are also good for women with short legs and torsos.

The SOCOOL women’s bikes have evolved over the years to meet the needs of women. Traditionally, women’s bikes have been less functional and featured less advanced geometry. Women’s bikes are often shorter, taller, and have cramped cockpits. Women also tend to prefer bikes with wider wheelbases and lighter components.

Women who ride mountain bikes should find a bike that fits their height and body type. Many brands have women-specific models. Some brands cater to petite riders, while others cater more to taller women. In addition, women who are small in stature shouldn’t have to pay for specialized finishing kits.

Because women’s bodies are different from men’s, women’s bikes’ geometry is more tailored to them. Liv, a sister company of Giant, produces a women’s bike. The company claims that women are shorter in the torso and longer in the legs than men, so women need shorter top tubes and a higher rise.

Outings

If you’re new to mountain biking, SOCOOL Mountain Bikes offers three-day, multi-sport classes. The classes involve a combination of classroom training and riding on trails. Although it can be challenging to ride on uneven terrain, riders can quickly become comfortable and confident with the equipment provided. Instructors will provide loaner bikes if needed, but the number and size are limited. Participants must be at least 18 years old to participate in the course.

Jason Halverson

Jason Halverson, the founder of SOCOOL Mountain Bikes, is a former BMX bike product manager. Before starting his own company, he worked for Shimano, GT Bikes, and Cannondale. While at Cannondale, he designed and developed BMX frames and parts. Later, he worked at Shimano as an OEM sales manager. He learned how to source components and create a custom bike frame there.

After working in the bike industry for several years, Halverson saw an opportunity for a brand aimed at kids. He noticed that many kids did not know which bike was best for the course conditions, and they didn’t have the resources to buy a high-quality, competitive bike. They would race on a parent’s hand-me-down bike or a big full-suspension bike.
